Dr. Misty Blowers

Misty K. Blowers is an American computer scientist, engineer, cybersecurity researcher, technology executive, and entrepreneur. She is best known for serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Service-Level Coordinator for Artificial Intelligence at Headquarters, United States Marine Corps, where she oversaw the Marine Corps' artificial intelligence initiatives and governance activities. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Datalytica, LLC, a technology company specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital engineering, data science, and advanced analytics.

Blowers has held senior leadership positions across the U.S. Department of Defense, industry, and research communities, including roles with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the United States Marine Corps. Her work has focused on artificial intelligence, adversarial machine learning, cybersecurity, software assurance, information operations, and technology transition. She is recognized for pioneering research into the robustness of machine learning systems under adversarial conditions and for developing methodologies to characterize, assess, and improve the resilience of AI-enabled systems.

As CTO for the Deputy Commandant for Information, Blowers also served as Director of the Marine Corps Information War Room and Director of the Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) portfolio. During her tenure, she established executive and action-officer governance structures for artificial intelligence across the Marine Corps, developed service-wide AI roadmaps, and coordinated responses to Congressional and Government Accountability Office inquiries regarding Marine Corps AI initiatives.

Blowers currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Datalytica, LLC, where she leads research and development efforts focused on artificial intelligence assurance, cybersecurity, digital engineering, and advanced analytics. She is the principal investigator and lead architect of REVEAL (Reverse Engineering and Vulnerability Elucidation of Algorithms), an AI assurance and test-and-evaluation framework designed to characterize the behavior, vulnerabilities, and resilience of artificial intelligence systems operating in adversarial and mission-critical environments.
